hi does anyone know if a specialized tri cross can take normal road 700 by 23 tyres and to ride on road would i have to change gearing?and how much would a bigger ring cost??? thanks

You can just change the tyres, any gearing change is just preference.

do the cogs for front sprocket cost alot???

Varies a lot depending on the quality. Link above. Also some sizes wont fit on some bikes without alteration. If you have a compact chain set and you want to go for a full sized 53,54 or 55 you may not just be able to swap the rings. MAY need a chain set and front mech too. Hard to say until we know what you have at the mo.
