Slightly paranoid moment today

Part of my route I dismount and walk across a toucan crossing (put in for a local school by rights) and rejoin the saddle on a smaller side road after a small 20 foot walk on a pavement.
So there I am today walking on the pavement and I see two teenage lads walking towards me eyeing up my bike. One pipes up "thats a really nice bike mate!" and my heart just sank for a second as I replied it is indeed. As I popped back on the saddle on the side road I heard him say to his mate "I bet it goes like s*** of a shovel! Look at him go!" Without a hint of sarcasm
For the breifest of moments I wondered if they had plans to try and grab it off me and peg it.

LOL! I was thinking "smack the big one in the face first if he goes for it" Its been a few years though since I used my fists... like riding a bike though I should imagine  (though back then I did it in a martial arts class on pads, different in real life)0 -

Kieran you are not right :lol
Downfader, clearly those guys have taste and can weed out class from dross
I'd revisit those martial arts moves, just in case. Nights are drawing in, eminently suitable for a little 'outdoor shopping'

Actually workmate passed me today on the way home - my bike is worth more than his car. I can see the attraction.0
