Apparently the guy whos in charge of promoting cycling in Leeds cycles on pavements.

    It was just one remark out of many good ones. Seemed a fairly balanced article to me and on the whole I applaud the guy. Slowly the UK will realise this does encourage newbies. I do wish more info was reminded to them about skills, law etc.

    I've seen policemen (and women :P) cycling along pavements. They weren't going at speed only walking pace but still, way to set an example.

    Saturday mornings usually you see this too in Above Bar and on Southampton's high street past the shops.

    Yeah on the whole its a great scheme, there are detailed plans on the Leeds Councils website, with a mix of cycle lane and sending cyclists down residential streets with 20mph limits
