Snowdon Enduro

Anyone thinking of doing this event?

Apparently it's new and is on next weekend (Sat 29 Aug). There's a choice of course length up to 48km

It's not a SNOWDON enduro, it's a SNOWDONIA enduro.
Snowdon is the mounatin, Snowdonia is the (quite large) area nearby.

The event is actually near Betws Y Coed.

I've been waiting for YEARS to see properly organised mountain bike racing on Snowdon, so when I read your thread title I thought it had finally happened.
Then I clicked on the link and found out that you're just some fugging borderline dyslexic :roll:
I guess you think North Hampton, and Sounth Hampton are the same place as well?

im doing my 1st race this wkend. so shall see how that goes 1st, i call it a race but im not really racing, im riding in flats so i can have some fun decsending lol

but i am very tempted, how far up Snowdon does it go?

Errm, it's actually Eryri or Y Wyddfa. Eryri, like an Eagles nest or Wyddfa, sort of Tombstone, burial place etc. Just because there's an English name doesn't mean it's English!
Any, as I live here, where is the Snowdon, sorry, Snowdonia Enduro supposed to be?
There used to be a local Tri/Quadathlon years ago. Every year but one, Dafydd Roberts, who used to run the cafe at Coed y Brenin, won it. The only year he didn't was the year he didn't enter it!
Best athlete "never" to represent Wales/UK in endurance events. He wife was down for the Olympics in Mtb, but knackered her back just before. Bummer...

Splottboy, the event is near the far side (blaenau side) of betws y coed. I'm presuming they're using some pre-existing trails, but possibly linking them up differently.
Sian and Dafydd are legends. Sian seems to work occasionally at Beics Betws these days.

im gonna give it a miss after looking at poster, its not really on Snowdon and i dont like the idea of doing laps around a small track

P.S brechfa enduro was awesome (lots of new decsents and single track), really enjoyed it and was happy to find out i can comfortably ride 50 km
but damn that shale gets slippy in the wet, my rear tyre ket trying to overtake me lol
