Fork for a Hardrock?

I ride a specialized hardrock 2008 and have pretty much destroyed the fork. I am looking at getting something with 12cms of travel but am not sure whether it is good for the frame. If you have any suggestions i would be pleased. I do freeride style riding. (i know the hardrock isnt made for it)I am on a budget.

What exactly do you mean by freeride? Huge drops? Or just a little bit of everything?0

I would be doing probably a little bit of everything and it would need to be reasonably cheep (rockshox, marzochi). I might look at buying second hand from trademe.com.0

MX Pro 100/120mm Marzocchi forks from Wiggle for £160 would be just the ticket.0

Not when there's more reliable RS Tora's to be had at that price.0

Tora's or MX Pro's for hard riding, drops and jumping....i which one i'd put my money on.0

I'd rather have something that has a greater chance of not being sent back personally.
Where is that MX Pro for 160, I can't see it?0 -

I take it you mean that you're looking for a cheap fork, but want one of those brands, and not suntour etc, right?
I'd have to go with the others here and suggest Toras or MX Pros.0 -
Tora 318 Uturn would be my choice.0

what about manitou? Ive seen a few cheap 120mm Stances around.0

Haven't had experience of recent manitous, but plenty of trouble with them in the past mean I'll never give them my hard-earned again.0

they are cheap for a reason.
also topic heading changed as it was not really urgent was it?
as you are still looking."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."
