We all bash each other (playfully of course) about what's best and what not but thought it would be interesting to see the commuting steed demographic....
Ps. Had to play with the FCN chain somewhat to get right no. of poll options to display.

I want two votes!
I'm usually roadie, with hairy legs, and baggies BUT if the weather looks a bit dodgy I'm on an MTB with slicks
so +1 to the MTB with slicks in the poll0 -

My hardtail XC bike with 550g UST XC tyres.

There are two groups: those who ride road bikes and those who do not <ducks, runs for cover )FCN 2-4.

Well, my commuter bike is a hybrid (26", but it's not an MTB) but it also folds. So I voted folder. The Jetstream I also use occasionally for commuting. The Viner will be used for the commute....never...Dahon Speed Pro TT; Trek Portland
Viner Magnifica '08 ; Condor Squadra

the commute bike is hybrid though it's much more of a shopper type than a fast urban bike so shopper it is.
quite frankly it's a horrible ride but it should last a few more years.0 -
No outrage yet from the CX crew that they've been put in the same category as tourers and audax bikes...FCN 2-4.

Thing is we aren't going to get a "true" representation on here as we're only polling those commuters who frequent this forum and I think it takes a certain "type" of person to do that. Not to be taken the wrong way but I do drive a car but don't frequent car forums if you understand where I'm coming from :-)0 -

not that much but yes it is a upright postion, but then thats what that type of bike is about, it's a roll down to the shops, slowly though the park etc. I've been know to wear straw hats etc....0 -
Which category does my single-speed all-rigid mountain bike with slicks fit in?
Other than "crime against nature", obviously...FCN 6 in the week on the shiny new single speed.
FCN 3 at the weekend - struggling to do it justice!0
