How absolutly megaannoying

I spend weeks on deciding on a bike.
Then I spend days negotiating with the better half and scraping together the necessary funding.
Then the shop suddenly offers 20% discount (hurray).
Then I call the shop to make sure they still have my size and all.
Then, an hour later I arrive at the shop to find out that the last bike (Scott sub 20) has misteriously disappeared (most likely stolen) from the store.

I am in tears

The sub 20 is a nice bike.
I am really sorry for your loss.

Frustrating as it is, I reckon you dodged a bullet, now you can get a proper bike.

For that sort of money you can get something like a Specialized Allez can't you?
  • Hehe...it's not an easy life. I think I will end up on something really nice in the end.

I would, but the don't have it.

I wish. I live in a country which is terribly "economically challenged" at the moment. Our currency has dropped 100% in relation to EUR and other currencies. This means a freshly imported bike would cost me twice as much as a bike that was imported a year ago. Even though they are excactly the same bike.

There is no Specialized dealership here (I really liked their tri-cross sport).

On the bright side I found a used Bad Boy 2002 (400 miles on the road) which I'm going to check out today. Any thoughts on that bike anyone?

    Have a nice day y'all

You may not have many bike shops but you've got the women.

I have many Icelandic friends, they all live near me here in Norway.

Seriously, I never figured there would be that much call for cycling in Iceland given the rather spectacularly stormy weather.
