Frame crack

Hello,
Dont know if anyone can help but I have a 2008 zaskar pro carbon which has developed a small crack. The bike shop are offering to replace the frame with the carbon pro 2009. Does anyone know if there are any downsides with the new model (eg. frame weight).
Any help would be appreciated.

Same frame as far as I am aware.
Where is the crack and do you have any pics?0 -
Its just at the base of the seat post on the front, I have pics but dont know how to show them.0
