It just makes me want to cry. Some people shouldn't be allowed near bikes.

If it wasn't an actual gate, I'd completely end up buying it to unhorrific it.

I've seen that bike before. I'm almost certain that Il Prince took a picture of it chained to a lamp post....

It's so much more than that ... The handlebars <retch> ... the way the brake cable's routed <retch> ... the whole idea of getting hold of the result of 150 years of engineering endeavour and turning it into something Edward Elgar would have ridden ...

The only acceptable fixies are track bikes.

There's so much more than that.

Riser bars and a stubby stem on any kind of road bike is wrong - it's even wrong on hybrids. I could accept flat bars with a long stem, maybe. On a good day.

The saddle's too low for the geometry it's designed for, and it makes all the angles of the bike look wrong.

I think the main issue here is that that frame is clearly too big for whoever's set it up to ride it.

Lol, but maybe he just likes it that way?!

I imagine it is very fast handling and suits busy areas and a skilled rider quite well. I have rode similar in the past.

It's got a licence plate! Imagine triggering a speed camera on it, that would be all kinds of awesome :)

I actually saw this very bike for sale at a car boot sale in Woodford a couple of Saturdays ago - geezer wanted £400 for it. Told me that if I followed racing I'd know that they all ride these 'even the world champion'.

I don't think there's anything wrong with turning a nice light road frame into a fixie. Bars are to an individual's taste, ditto saddle height. Matching wheels and a properly routed brake cable would be nice, but it's not the end of the world.

I think this bike defines the word hybrid in the same way as Jeff Goldblum in "The Fly" :)

The guy clearly regrets butchering the bike. He's not trying v.hard to stop it getting nicked
