newbie here....caught the bug and looking for advice reg tyres...currently own a Kona Lana....im doing about 60-70 miles per week, mostly on cycle/walking paths...75% tarmac, the rest is forest trails.

current tyres are Kenda K-922 26 x 1.95.

should i change these tyres to something more suitable for tarmac?.
should i just change the back tyre?

once i get a bit more experience i itend upgrading the bike and intend to give some mtb trails a go

Tyres are pretty much like any MTB component:
    LIGHT
    CHEAP
    STRONG
choose any two. Light tyres are fast and roll easily but if you're looking for puncture protections as well they won't be cheap. Inexpensive tyres will be strong but they are heavy and can feel draggy.

Maxxis have a tyre for pretty much every kind of rider. CrossMarks are good on dry trails and tarmac or there are the High Roller semi-slicks. Or Kenda Small Block 8s. Avoid anything with big, blocky treads unless you are riding DH or in a lot of mud. Soft compounds grip well off-road but wear out very quickly on tarmac.
