Shimano or Campag freehub for SRAM cassette?

Hi there,

When I was into cycling before, SRAM wasn't in the game of road components. However, I'm now looking into buying a SRAM groupset, and about to purchase some wheels also.

What is the fit on the freehub for SRAM cassettes? I notice that there isn't a SRAM freehub option, so I guess SRAM utilise either the Campag or Shimano spline pattern?

Essentially, I want to put a SRAM Force 2010 cassette onto a Reynolds Assault wheel.

Thanks for your help

James

Shimano - SRAM have same spline pattern as Shimano and the cassettes are interchangeable - you could run a SRAM 10sp or Shimano 10sp cassette with your SRAM 10sp system.

However, ensure it's 'Shimano 8/9/10speed freehub', not 'Shimano 10sp-only', as whilst both have the same spline pattern, Shimano 10sp-only splines are higher and only a Shimano 10sp cassette will fit.

'Shimano 8/9/10speed' will take Shimano 8sp, 9sp or 10sp cassettes, or SRAM 8/9/10sp

    Campag won't fit at all.
