Anyone know of any good ones, im off up there tomorrow so wouldn't mind a look around.
The trouble with having an open mind, of course, is that people will insist on coming along and trying to put things in it.

ZeroG ain't too shabby. They are on Park Street in the centre and also on North St in Bedminster - I prefer the staff in the Bedminster one. There is another very small bike shop on North St as well called Strada. There is also an Evans in the centre as well on Lewins Mead but not been there myself. Mud Dock is also decent (has very nice Cafe as well) and is also near the centre on The Grove.

As always with bike shops - they are only any good if they actually have what you are looking for when you go in....bizarrely I can't remember the last time that happened! :?
You only need two tools: WD40 and Duck Tape.
If it doesn't move and should, use the WD40.
If it shouldn't move and does, use the tape.

There's a Halfords in Cribbs hahahahaha!
We have a Cyclersugery opposite Airbus on the corner of the A38 and 4174 Ring Road - Postcode BS34 7BR - not too far from Cribbs at all.

They are not bad at all, they have a good spares stock, most needed items and will price match most competitors.
The best thing about them is the staff, all MTB'ers and that does make a difference, it's good to deal with people who are passionate about what they do

You've got the Specialized concept store, Evans, Mud Dock, Bike and Psyclewerx all within walking distance of each other in the city centre (and probably others I don't know about). Mud Dock's got a good cafe upstairs as well overlooking the river, so you can recover from all that walking

Oh, and the Banksie exhibition's on at the museum too.

if you're near cribbs then probably cycle surgry would be a good bet, as all the others are right in town and really not worth the detour.. Bristol lots of mtbers fuck all decent bike shops.

Great advice, anyone know the postcode for a good multi story, preferably with free disabled parking, parents are coming along may as well get free parking from it. ;)

So far the city centre and cycle surgery sounds good. 8)

Is that Cabot Circus? If so you can leave the parents to shop if they don't want to follow you round all the bike shops. Good little day out there

I'd hire a bike for a couple of hours, and ride it to all the bike shops. There's some nice urban riding in Brizzle, Christmas steps is a must, up n down. :)
  • Dazz, buy LOADS of new bits and then sell me all your old ones off nice and cheap!

Oh, and the Banksie exhibition's on at the museum too.

If you've got 3 hours to kill queueing up, even after being open for 3 months the queues are still long.
I've added a signature to prove it is still possible.

Well looked around, couldn't find any bike shops in the city centre and cycle surgery is 6 miles north and it was late so gave it a miss.

Ended up parking in broadmead which was pricey, i asked about bike shops and people said there was sod all in the area wtf?! :?

Anyway i went though the mall, cabot circus and everywhere else in that main area of shops and i couldn't find anything, primark was bonkers so im assuming that was the new shop being opened up there.

The sat nav wouldn't find cabot circus so im guessing it's not that old.

I did however have my tea in Yo! sushi, that was shockingly expensive, £6 for a very nice sapporo beer and three dishes, hoi sin duck and rice in a seaweed roll, salmon and asparagus sticks and yo! californian roll selection, came to about £17 was very nice mind.

All in all had a very nice day, drivers are fairly considerate as well down this way they're nutters by comparison.

Oh and cribbs was nothing special, never seems to change, i had a nice gym junkie boost smoothie though.

cabot circus has only been open about 6 months, but evans cycles is just behind there and the specialized concept shop is only about 10 mins walk from there.

but ah well...glad you had a nice day anyway :D

Harvey Nicks had a big opening fanfair with Heather Sweet on 24th Spetember last year and I popped in for a look at 11:30 at night.
