Yes - gives a good starting point, but you need to be accurate with your measuring.
Carlsberg don't make cycle clothing, but if they did it would probably still not be as good as Assos

+1 I count myself as experienced at setting up bike and position but gave this a go and found it useful.

I found that it gave wildly incorrect frame dimensions.

I didn't use it for my bike as Chris at Epic spent time sorting out the right size for me. But I have used it with various friends to help them pick the right size. I've found that it's an excellent starting point for a newbie and gives an idea of the sort of size you should be looking for before you go to a bike shop.

To give an example, I have a female friend who is tall with long legs (short torso). The first bike shop she went to tried to put her on a large frame, which suited her leg length but meant she was very stretched out. We plugged her measurements into the calculator and it came up with some dimensions she was able to take to a different bike shop, who put her on a small women's specific Giant. She found that much more comfortable so bought it and has been riding it for the last two years.
  • It worked for me as a good starting point many moons ago.

I want to use it just to confirm the size for a Planet X Sl Pro Carbon.
As there's not a massive range of sizes and I'm only 5'7" I think I know I need a small anyway, but just want it confirmed.
