Hi Guys,
Well, I've spent a fair bit of time scouring the internet for bottle cages for my new bike and now, I've seen so many, I'm confused
I want carbon, prefer a touch of red/ white on them too.
So far, I like the:
Elite Moro d'Elite.
LifeLine Carbon 051 Bottle Cage.
Would appreciate the forums thoughts on any other similar cages.
Cheers,
Paul

Carbon with a little red o them? Gotta be Bontrager (sp) - planning on getting myself a pair very soon to swap out my Elite Pataos which are getting a bit old and tired looking now0

I have the moro d'elite.
They look amazing and hold the bottles well but over bumpy ground when not holding a bottle they make a rattling sound. Doesn't bother me though.0 -
I have some Blackburn ones - they're very good at holding bottles tightlyExpertly coached by http://www.vitessecyclecoaching.co.uk/

Planet X gloss carbon bottle holders look cool and hold bottles very well. No red bits though!0

I got some generic ones off ebay - 2 for £16ish posted. They are very secure and very light. No coloured bits though they're perfect if you like the stealth look.

the tune ones are fantastic, although you need to treadlock the bolts and always put the bottle in to keep the cage strong...0

+1 for Planet X0

I'd look at the Campag range as they offer full bottle enclosure.
I had Elite Moro cages and they drove me mad with noise.
They did hold the bottles and they never fell out but they rattles like hell.
Gone back to Spesh rib cages now.0 -
I've gone for these Zipp ones on my new Orca:

 ... That bad.... Oh, well, bought some now!...
All I can think is, that they'd better look awesome, if they're that noisey!!!
Maybe I'll start using my ipod...Start with a budget, finish with a mortgage!0 -
I'm in the same situation. The lifeline ones look good and dont seem over priced. Had a look at Campy ones and £50 for the chorus cage seems a hell of a lot, considering some of the other ones mentioned are half the price and lighter. And over £100 for record?!0

I looked at the lifetime cages (Wiggle), but they didn't appear to be as secure as the moro's... Nothing at the top of the cage to locate on top of the bottle... I could be wrong, though... :roll:Start with a budget, finish with a mortgage!0

bontrager have bits of red on and don't rattle and the bottle never falls out. Very good0

The Zipp ones Bobtbuilder mentioned are very good. No ejected bottles so far...(had them 18 months now)0

Now I'm at home I can post a pic of my Moro d'Elites...
