Can't think of another rider who's come back from a ban and ended up getting a victory in their first race back...

Merckx? Sort of?Note: the above post is an opinion and not fact. It might be a lie.0 -
He wants to help Chris Horner win!
I guess he is riding for Astana whether they like it or not.0 -
Vino vini vici.....
Not bad after two years off the bike and all that.

The Vuelta could be a laugh with Vino back to his previous form and Valverde trying to win every race possibe before his career comes to a halt. These guys will be on the full Gas I think; no holding back.
The only rider to not come back with unimpressive form would be Casagrande a few years back when he kept getting caught, get banned for 6 months, come back and win a few races and then get banned again.
I think all other ex cheats have come back with their form being not what it was. Strange how that happens.
If Basso was on his previous game then the Giro would be in his back Pocket already and would be looking at an easy Vuelta win. Let's see who is on their game.

Well yes it was beautiful victory and last night a blur with much merriment and woman.
The Calves tell me theyre feeling good and Vino will ride some more today in honor of the glorious comeback and glorious state Kazakhstan.

Good stuff yet it was only an 8.8km TT.
On top of that he is already 3.5mins off GC @ 22nd. This isn't that good.Contador is the Greatest0 -

Well I can't rate it much for only a 10 minute race. ?

"I just wanted to show everyone that I could still win races. It is done. This morning in the mountain stage, my goal was not to give 100 percent and blow my motor. I merely followed the pack. I was pretty good, at least I thought I was."
He's finished each stage in the main peloton, so it's not that bad.0 -

^ Forget that.
Vino abandons the final stage, Rein Taaramae wins the stage and overall. Too bad for Horner.0 -

I see on the preliminary Vuelta start list that Vino is first reserve for Astana, yet the team name doesn't appear after his name like every other rider. Still some talking to be done there obviously.Take care,
