Topeak MTX and RX Racks

Hi
Just a quick question to put my mind at ease. Topeak state that the RX series is for road bikes and MTX is for MTBs and heavy commuting. I would like to get the largest bag from the MTX series, but it's not compatible with the RX racks.
So, my question is, despite being billed for "non-road bikes", is there anything stopping me from putting an MTX seat post rack on a road bike?
Oh, by the way, are the racks any good?!
Thanks

Only thing stopping you using on a road bike is a fragile carbon seat post- and worrying about what other people might think....
the racks and bags are staggeringly good IMHO
I have the rx rack and bag- the dxp one with panniers- and it's great when expanded although not hugely roomy
My wife has the mtx rack and bag- she managed to get 2 pairs of hair straighteners and her wardrobe full of clothes for the c2c trip
not cheap, but so easy to unclip the bags and just walk in to the b and b- messed around bith old fashioned luggage but topeak rx/mtx is light years ahead.
Would deffo go for the pannier bags but you'll need the side frames for the rack0
