Specialized Allez Comp 2010 - Opinions?

I've just been to a local bike shop (Street Life Cycles in Norwich - as kindly recommended by a few fellow forumites) and I've been told that the Specialized Allez Comp 2010 would be my best option for a new road bike.

Has anyone been able to have a go on one of these yet? Is it pretty much the popular Allez Elite from 2009 with a slightly different name?

Would it be worth coughing up any more money for one of the other 2010 Specialized bikes - such as the Tarmac Elite / Comp, Roubaix Elite or the Secteur Comp?

I will be very grateful for any help.

It's last years Elite for more money. Boo...

Unless you're getting a decent discount on that I think you could do better. My bro-in-law got the 2009 Elite for around £850 a few months ago.

You could have one of these for a grand:

I love the look of those Planet X bikes, but I just get a little confused by all the options that you can choose from. Top Road Bar / Stem sizes etc.

I wouldn't really know what to go for.

Hi,

I have the Spesh allez 18 2009 road bike which is fantastic apart from the wheels but I plan to upgrade those before too long.

I paid £537 for this bike. What is the main difference between the spesh allez and the allez comp?
