Wheel upgrade

Am considering upgrading wheels (a new bike is out of reach atm, and this is the next best thing) from Ksyrium Elites that I currently run.
I was wondering if there is any noticeable difference in replacing these with a higher end Ksyrium, say the SL model? Would I notice the slight weight saving (100g ish per pair), and are there any other noticeable differences that would make this a worthwhile upgrade? I'm not looking at it from a cost point of view, but mainly if my ride would be much different.
