When does Glentress close?

Planning on going to Gt this afternoon and I need to know what time the gates to like the car park close?

Never had an issue...they usually close about 6pm, but have been there and been told to close the gate i leave.

if you are concerned about time, instead of going into the car park, go straight on up the fireroad a couple of hundred metres and park on the left just where the red/black descent exits.

Its just we will be getting to Gt at about 3, and then 3 hours max for the red run. So might be cutting it fine.

Last time we got back late to the car park at the bottom, thankfully the gate wasn't actually locked.

I don't think they lock the lowest car park (the one below the new hill). In fact, I don't think it has a gate! The rest are a wee bit erratic, they don't like to lock people in after all. One of the car parks on the fire road up has been filled in with a huge spoil heap but the red squirrel is still open and I've never seen it shut. Best best in my experience is just to use the absolute bottom car park.
