Apparently made by someone at santa cruz. They raced it at Downieville and also had a trailer on the back with kegs of beer in it.

That cannot be safe!

A mate of mine has a full suss tandem he rides with his wife from time to time - he gets frustrated as he has to be the stoker to get them moving which means she is always braking for the hills while he is pedalling to go faster (he = ex DH racer / she = not)

There was the one on the mbuk forum a while ago, that a guy had built. Had a motorbike front wheel and could seat something like 6 folk. I'm sure it was 20ft or so long hahaha

that santa cruz is the bees knees! the middle shock doesnt do anything! but how much do i want one? oh, well, i supose my kidneys arnt THAT important..............

Every time you the shock compressed the front man would be tipped back, the rear one forward and they would collide!

that would be very funny though! big jump, full compression landing followed by a severe Nutting from the back rider! class!

one of the bike mags did a test on three tandems and i 'think' they were all full suss!
would love one but the wife dilly dally's ont he bike so badly we'd never get anywhere!

what you have there is an MX bike where you are the engine! brilliant! although im not sure how much i would want to take it UP a hill! and that seat doesnt look like one to sit and spin on, more of a guard to stop you hiting your bum on the shock. I still think that even i could take a certain DR.S. Peat on that beast. (or maybe not!)

Im sure i've seen a similar bike, didn't honda make a dh bike that used some sort of gearbox and prop instead of being chain driven?
