Anyone got one of these or other cycle cross about same price. Thinking of buying one for winter rides, commuting and some off road. Any recommendations etc. cheers

I have a bike i built out of the ridley crosswind 2008 £800 frame /fork frameset and its very good if a little higher spec than what you are looking at. The bike you are looking at still has a good reputation and its core was ridden to world cup victory's historically. Its a genuine cross bike, higher at the BB cabling along the top tube, a solid fork and good own brand kit. Its a good package for the money. Cant see how you can go wrong although they do feel a little more upright than a normal road bike.
  • thanks Browsebosh sounds like your experience confirms my view. I don't mind a little more upright especially in the winter commute and off road.
