First SPD shoe for my touche?

Hi again...
Picked up my new pearson touche and I've probably done around 30 miles so far on it. The guys in pearsons pretty much refused to allow me to get flat pedals (to say they're purists would probably be putting it lightly!) so I compromised and went for some SPD pedals with a flat platform on one side so I can nip to the shops etc without needing cycling shoes.
Anyway, several people have recommended that I get some SPD shoes to get the most out of my new toy/mode of transport...spotted this on wiggle and thought it could be a good shout as they'll cost me about the same as a typical beginner shoe. Does anyone have any experience with these shoes?

DHB T1s (Wiggle again) are considerably cheaper than either, I've found them to be pretty good over eight months' use.Dahon Speed Pro TT; Trek Portland
