Im after a hard tail freeride bike that can handle trails, jumps and drops got 1k to spend and can only buy from halfords(they said they can source any bike) or wheeles.com.

I was thinking of a full sus but have been told i can get more bike for my money if i go ht.

any options would be great.cheers

Obviously this is linked in with your Banshee thread.

You get more kit for your money as the frames don't cost as much. Performance wise is as much down to you as the bike.

yea im running this 2 see if its better to go ht for the price as people on here seem 2 say full sussers under £1500 are a waste of time.

Whoever said that is talking utter garbage!

Personal preference to what you want, but many prefer FS for the type of riding you describe.

I have a FS that cost less than £1500 and I love it. I also love my hardtail. It's all about preference.

i would love to go over on the price but the cycle to work scheme has restricted me to £1000 and they say were not allowed to top it up otherwise i would have bought the specialized big hit 111 :x
  • specialized big hit 111 for riding to work not really what I'd call a commuter hehe

Bummer at least you get cycle to work in the Military we are void from the scheme in as such they make you pay for the bike with the discount but then after the time is up the Military takes the bike from you. So in actual fact you are paying to rent a bike that they then keep. My thoughts on this are not good so I will shut up now lol.
    I use all 9 inches.

yea we get to keep them after the 12 month term but have to pay 5%of the total cost of the bike to our company.
  • I could live with that a new bike ever year for so cheap *drools*
    I use all 9 inches.
