Am waiting rather exitedly for the delivery of my new Giant Defy Advanced4, haven't ridden a roadbike in 20yrs since the days of my Sun Solo in my youth and boy its a whole different world now
Have been a dirt monkey on mtb's for the last 11yrs and not ridden spd's for about 7 so the next few weeks will make for an interesting learning curve!

Yeah, my last "racer" had Woods valves and I swear was made from plain-gauge lead piping!
...my new one (Boardman Comp) is one helluva lot lighter*
...and a fair bit "twitchier"*
...and a whole kaboodle faster*
*precisely measured technical terms.Cycling weakly0
