Higher resting bottle cage

Sounds like the name of an alt rock band.

The bottle cage on my downtube rests to low, causing the bottle smashup you see. Current cages are Blackburn Comp.

Can anyone recommend a cage that rests higher up on the tube?

looks like more of a problem with the cage bosses than the cages themselves. What frame is that..?

You’re right, but it’s easier to get a new cage than have new bosses made.

    It’s a Habanero Ti frame.

The lower bolt hole on the Tacx seems to high.

From the photo it looks like those cages put the bottle a little further away from the frame than some so just getting cages that have a flatter mount would also seem to help.

Good point. Kind of weird how the cages stick out off the bracket like that. Wonder what the point of that is?

I had not considered that - most perspicacious of you. You probably made my day!

    Thanks

Haven't been to Armagh in nearly 20 years. My mother's from there. Heck, she's visiting Crossdall right now!

I used an ancient $1.99 (before discount!) Performance bottle cage I had lying around. It secures the bottle closer to the downtube and a bit higher up.

    Nicely done, fellows, thanks!
