Road bike for an 11 year old

Hi.

I want to get my son a road bike so that he can join me on some of my road rides. He is 11 years old. Any advice on where/what to get? Cheers.

    No experience of them myself but Islabikes get recommended all the time when this question comes up.

    well I stuck an ad in road classified - for a small road bike - under a week later i picked up a cracking 700c wheel but small frame road bike for my son for £150.

    Isla bikes are now very expensive IMO - If you live near a decathlon you can get a 650c road bike for £270 .....but try the small add route as well
