Madness! They all seem to ride singlespeeds. No helmets, cutting through traffic and breaking every rule of the road..

It's fast - looks fun - but eventually, inevitably someone will be seriously hurt. I reckon the last (only?) word in the video sums it up nicely.

It's things like this that gives cyclists a bad name.

I suppose when one of them gets killed, or seriously injured, they'll be screaming blue murder. Call me a miserable old tw*t, but I don't think there's anything clever about it.

Right, I'm off to the woods!

  • Excellent job of ploughing into a load of Peds at around 5:12.

I'm actually quite torn over this vid. I am well aware that what they are doing is stupid, dangerous and illegal, and gives us all a bad name.
But, it's really exciting to watch.

    +1

If he ran into me like the one did at 5:12 he'd be pulling the bike out of his ar*e. What a shower of to55ers.

Agreed, they are all utter stupid idiots, if they want to get killed, throw themselves off a cliff but dont risk others lives in the process. Bah! :x

It's kinda like watching two women fighting. You know someone should really say stop, but just give them 5 more minutes first!

    Was pretty interesting to watch.

While watching, I wasn't worried about any of the guys on bikes since it's their choice to do it; but if then ran into someone who was crossing the road at the speed they were going they could kill someone else.

Alleycatz which is an underground road race which happens monthly (or used to) in Central London & only open to cycle couriers.

They are complete nutcases :D Fortunately they don't ride like this all the time. Accident rates amongst CCs are low thankfully.

Ibbo, who did you work for? Motorbike courier for many years & still in the industry though office bound these days.

    Boring. They're just being dicks.

Go to this website for more of these kind of videos. Turns out these arent actually messengers they're just people who travel across the world to race in big city's. They do absolutely crazy stuff like getting drunk before racing, and riding over iced up lakes, they even grab on to ohter cars to speed up. Although they are absolutely insane and make us cyclists look like absolute Wan*ers (as the video clearly showed!) it's probably the most insane and exciting videos to watch ever!

I completely disapprove. And I am waiting for it to come out as a game :)
Handling those skinny tyres through the twists n bumps I think requires a fair bit of skill, but diving through people and traffic like that makes you completely incompatible with the road.
    Impressive, but aggravating.

You know how much flak we get already from cars.

They are just adding fuel to the fire.

LOL - know the feeling. Was controlling @ Wheels then Mach1 around 94, then left to work at Excel. Do you remember Milky?

Glad you escaped m8 - couriers are getting the same, if not less, for more than they were then... Industry is currently in pieces :(
