Advice/Recomendations , Chain Ring's ETC

Hi Guys ,
bought a Kona Stinky in the week , Bargain @ £350.00 8)
i have just been out freeriding for 2 hours then the chain snapped and lost :roll:
what advice and recomendations im really looking for is : i want to convert the original 3 chain wheels to a single can this be done ! must be strong for my style of riding coz im quite heavy with my riding , what is the best type of chain stay , chain , and want to change the rear cartidge and i guess whilst im having all that done i'll have it serviced . . .
another hole in the pocket this week but hey ho i love the riding
