Thought i'd share this with you all.
While on holidayi n Tenerife, went for a ride down Mt Tiede with a local Mtb guide. Had a little tumble, 2 nights in hospital, 10 stitches & tendons fukced. Wife & kids not too happy, esp as i could not swim etc for the last week. Damn good ride while it lasted though!! Got about 2 hrs in. Bike guide was brilliant, very helpful. Just missing out on some fair weather riding now i'm back home.

That's going to leave a nice big scar. Skin looks to be a bit bunched at the top, was it *very* deep? I like the blue thread, does it match your bike? Do they do other colours?0

Yeah it was quite deep. i saw some bone i think, my eyes were a bit closed
Sheepsteeth, it made me wince too!! Cheers for the get well comments everyone.
Had stitches out yesterday, which was nice.0 -
shame you cant fix it with photoshopGiant Trance X0 (08) Reverb, Hope Hoops 5.1D, XT brakes, RQ BC, Works Components headset 1.50

Do you think now that you should have bought knee/shin protection?
I'm surprised how busted your leg is, and you aren't wearing any protection.
What's that big bruise? Is your wife sitll beating you?
Get well soon.0 -
Xtreem, i now have some on order
I think the bruise is from hitting the bars but not too sure. There is a worrying lump underneath still ( 2 weeks now) which really hurts.
The wound was really dirty inside so i had to go to theatre for surgery to clean it out. They had to extend the wound to get all the sh.t out.
And my wife beats me daily!!
Cheers guys0 -
