Had my first visit to the hills yesterday (fri 8/8/9) was blessed with clear blue skies and a nice cooling breeze. this place is awesome, managed to clock up the best part of 40k in 6 hours of riding,
the locals riders we bumped into were really friendly and only to keen to offer advice, pointing us in the direction of some really good runs, including Smiths combe and then Holders combe, even the usually non approachable youf were saying hi as we buzzed past.
I only hope these guys get the same welcome when they hit our local trails on dartmoor.
When you go, take plenty of water and energy food, cos some of the hills are pretty hard work, the defo make you earn you turns!
