I'm drawn towards the BMC team machine for its awesome looks and built quality.
I've also looked at Kuota namely the Khama a Kebel
Anything else I should look at around this price?
Planet X just don't do it for me, I don't think the frames look at all pretty, it has to look good too.
I'd really like carbon to

    Orbea Orca looks the dogs!

I have an ugly P-X, but as they say, you don't look at the mantlepiece when you stoke the fire...Would love an Orbea though! But your budget is 2.5 times the cost of a P-X frame, so you should get something prettier!

How about a Scott Addict? I gave £1150 for a R1 frameset . Westbrook Cycles in Stokesley have them, 2008 models but about half price.

BMC do make lovely bikes it has to be said. If you can get one for that money, thenI'd go for it.

Somebody that's not blinkered by the Planet-X crew.

Plenty of framesets that you can get in Carbon for around the £1200 mark. BMC's are very sexy but have you considered the Giant TCR? The full bike won best bike for I think under £1700 and the you can pick up the frameset for around £1150.

I'm off to take a look at some Kuota's at Graham weigh cycles, he has one I can try to.
Its the Kebel I'm after really.
I still want the BMC but cant find one to try and price wise Wiggle is so much cheaper than anywhere.

Thanks for all the help and advice on frame choice.
Ended up with A Kuota Kebel.
Got it all built up and had a quick ride around the block and it feels great.
Actually feels a little more supple than my Kinesis Kic2.
I'll have to wait until next week to try it in anger as I'm still a little ill.
