Evening all
I've decided to start cycling to work and have forked out on a new bike (boarman comp hybrid) to motivate me. My current route will be London N14 -->NW6, approximately 9 miles or so.
I've recently purchased a pair of specialized sonoma shoes - can anyone advise how I get started with pedals/clips etc? I.e. can anyone reccomend a good basic starter set? I don't want to spend a fortune, however it would appear that it is definately worth doing.
Kind Regards

Shimano M520/M540 depending on your budget. Cleats are supplied with the pedals.0

As above, Shimano m520 are excellent pedals and great value at £19.95 from Merlin Cycles.0

I use these for my commute (and summer bike actually) and they are very nice:

I would definitely recommend you go for SPD pedals rather than SPD-SL ones for commuting/as a first clipless purchase. Easier to get in/out of and have more float so more forgiving.0 -
