Does anyone know whether Hayes rotors (V6 and V7) can be replaced with 160mm and 180mm rotors respectively??? Hayes seem to list their brakes in inches whereas everyone else uses mm :? Just wondering whether i'm stuck with Hayes rotors or whether any 160mm and 180mm rotors will fit as a replacement :?: Reason being, i'm not overly struck with the Hayes rotors and would like to try a different brand :idea:

    sure no big probs.

    you will need to use a correct size adaptor.

    6" =152mm
    7"= 177mm

    so the caliper would be too far away. but the distances are are small but if you want to get it right...

    So i'd need adapters that were 8mm and 3mm bigger than my current ones?

    nope.
    dont forget the rotor diameter difference means a change of half for the adaptor change.

    BUT you may have no probs with the current ones as it does depend on the tolerances.

    a few spacers can be used.

    im using hayes rotors with shimano adapters so is a slight size difference but to be honest the rotor still covers the whole of the pads so i get even wear so you way not need them
