Specialized xc comp rear bush

Can someone help! I will get straight to the point had the rear/lower shock bush of my xc comp 2007 changed, which way should the brake pipe run should it be between the bracket the shock bolts to or to the side? At the moment it is to the side and with the shock not locked out when you pedal the pipe flexs out and it rubs against your leg.
