advice on a new bike please..

hi every 1,iam new on board

iam looking 4 sum advice please

iam looking 2 buy a decent mountain bike to travel 2 work,

my budgets up to £700, my journey is a mixture of road and dirt track and is 8 miles each way,there are so many different makes and models on the market i don't know where to start.

any advice is much apprteciated

    Have a good read round the Buying Advice forum to start with. Also have a look at the "what bike and what size" sticky.

    For starters it sounds like you'll be going for a hardtail and £700 will get you a great bike.
    You only need two tools: WD40 and Duck Tape.
    If it doesn't move and should, use the WD40.
    If it shouldn't move and does, use the tape.
