Any 'DMR Wing Bar Cro Mo Riser Bar' users out there?? Grips?

I've got some DMR Wing Bar CroMo's for use on my jump/play bike,gone to pop some grips on today and found my clamps don't fit. I've got standard ODI lockon jobbies but the clamps are a little small to fit onto the bars.

Are there any bigger lock on type grips for larger bars or am i stuck using regular grips??

sometimes the paint on cro-mo risers can be a little thick, they are all standard 22.2mm areas but it just sometimes happens, I found that the 'spank' locks ons to work perfect?

Or just go conventional, otherwise you shall strip the paint off your bars trying to bang them on!

just give them a bit more of a push on.

have the grips been used before? then yes they may need springing open again.

yeah grips were used on my old bike. I unscrewed them removing the screw and used a screw driver to prise them open a bit but they we're still a paint scrapingly tight fit. Tried to 'lube' the grips up with isopropanol which helped its just the lockon collar which is the mail pain in the backside.

Might give them spank ones a look as mine as all scratched up from a few years of use.

yes they will be paint scrapingly tight. as the bars are painted/coated over the correct diameter bars.

Weirdly, I bought a set of 2007 DMR LOCC'D grips and they fit perfectly over my wingbar cromo bars

Well i was wondering if the DRM LOCC'd ones are made a little bigger to fit as i've never had any problems with the ODI ones on any other bars i've had - only these DMR ones.

Am of on holiday next week so i'm gonna give it another go when i get back
