Bike withdrawal

:(

The last day I rode my bike was Monday; working at a different location. Back at my usual office today, but no riding in this morning (although for cycling related reasons, so good in a sense).

I'm missing it so much, and I have a definite feeling of depression for having been out of the saddle. Lack of endorphins, adrenaline, that lingering dull ache in my legs, .. call it whatever - just two days off the bike has left me feeling tired and miserable.

Didn't help that I watched some decent SCR on my way in (in the car) along Nine Elms. Fixie rider in Rapha cap handing it out in big doses. :)

Anyway, just thought I'd share - I'm sure many of you can empathise!

I got the bus this morning because I'm feeling leaden on the bike at the mo, but its good weather forecast for Saturday and I am planning a LARGE ride up something steep and painful which I want to have the legs for.

All I could think about was catching swine flu.

    Cycling tomorrow, thats for sure.

I was laid up off the bike for two weeks as well and then the next week the bike was in for servicing and I was off-site. Ended up as 3 weeks off.

I've only just started again and am 3 commutes back into enjoying it :D

Half the reason I bother coming into work is that I get a decent ride out of it :)

I';m like you I've just had 4 weeks enforced lay off due to swine flu. Just got back out on the bike today. The sense of freedom and happiness to be back in the saddle is truely mindblowing. I'm that happy I might even let the OH have sex with me tonight :D

Yes, and never heard of it, so no.

    ....googles.....

Looks like a cracking route. But I'll be selfishly somewhere else cycling Saturday.

For shame! I must say I'm extremely very nervous about it, it's a large step up from my 12 mile flat commute. You'd have had a great opportunity to overtake me :D
