105 shifting

while experimenting (ok messing about) with my 105 RH shifter , I found if I give it one click it moves up one cog , but if I hold it over it moves up two. Is this a feature or will I cause damage by regularly doing this ?

    It is normal. If pushed right over it will do 3. Useful when you come round a corner and find a steep climb just round it.
