When should we start to see all the new gear in the shops?

When does all the winter gear come into the shops and when do we start seeing some big discounts?

I want a pair of Assos cycling bib shorts but the thought of spending over £100 on some shorts fills me a mixture of terror and guilt.

I agree, £100 seems like an enormous sum for a paid of shorts!
