I have recurited a friend who has offered to help build my first ever road bike (and provide me with some campag centaur shifters for free). So firstly I imagine I could do with one of those 'frame' contraptions.
After a fair few months of searching I have found what appears to be one of the best aluminium frames in the Cannondale Caad9.So my question is...is there anywhere in the UK that sells just the frameset or am I destined to be trawling eBay for the next 6 months.
Cheers.

Hi,
I have a CAAD8 R900 frameset and it's been great. A bit older than the CAAD9 but still a good frame. I think you would be good starting off with a CAAD9/CAAD10 if you can get one.
You can always have someone do the hardwork for you and go for a built CAAD8 for only £400.

CAAD12 frames are about £700 and some CAAD10s are about £530 (https://www.cycledivision.co.uk/cannondale-caad10-frame)
You should also look into the following frames.
Condor Italia RC
Bowman Palace
Pearson Upandatem
I personally love my Cannondale and the new frames are coming in some great colours. Good luck with the build.0 -
I think he's probably sorted now since he asked 7 years ago0

?? That thread came up at the top of the list when I logged into the forum today! Weird. Was wondering why CAAD9 was being brought up given its age.0
