Anyone know if you can buy RaceBlade type mudguards for an MTB.

Got a GT frame with Exotic rigid forks that I use for commuting, and getting peed off with the constant rain at the moment...........

Just wondering if they are available, never seen them myself.

There's always Crud guards, or motocross style guards for the front.

Are you looking for something that sits closer to the wheel?
  • Looking at mine just now, I'd say that if you've got skinny tyres on your MTB then the wider RaceBlades will probably fit- think it's the 25-38 size. I also bought a set of rather cheap (Bontanger, I think) mud guards for my old MTB that I managed to fit quite close to the wheel with the aid of cable ties. They were supposed to bolt directly inot the crown of the fork and also the 'crown' (not the right term, Im sure) of the seat stays, but my MTB didn't have any holes for this. Again, though, this is with skiny tyres on- how wide are yours?

I think SKS do some full mudguards for MTBs. Commuters I believe they're called. I have the 35mm versions for my roadie. I'm sure the packaging for the MTB ones said they can even fit over Big Apples.
