Hi,
Had great time thanks.
I have been going down to Somerset for years now an love it every time i go there.
I camp in Minehead which is a good base to get to other places, i just got a OS map and marked a few routes. But every time i go down there i find something new, I haven't got to the Quantocks yet i keep saying next time i'm down there but never do lol..
I have got the south west mtb book by Nick Cotton which looks very interesting now i just need to back down there to explore.
If your not keen on exploring by your self i'd post up a few weeks before your due to go to Somerset an see if any of the locals could show you around.0 -
Hi Stumpy.
Anytime you want a look around the Quantocks give us a shout. My riding buddies and i will be happy to show you all the best trails.
Regards.

Thanks Husky,
I just might do that, as i shall be down there again in Augs'10. I'll give you fair warning that i'm not a race hare more the Tortoise. As i like to enjoy an take in where i am. Take pics an enjoy being in the middle of nowhere.
Thanks.

No worries Stumpy. Gimme a shout whenever, but i'm gonna be away with the kids at some point in August, so a little notice would be great.
Oh...and if you fancy it we've got a few places left on our Alps trip in June. So far got Me, three guys and a girly, but the Chalet will sleep 10+.........(plenty of photo opportunities out there)

Wrong county. You need Devon for a proper cream tea.Whyte 905 (2009)

Can anyone recommend a good campsite for the quantocks? I have a list of Somerset campsites (http://www.campsite-review.co.uk/England/Somerset/), but not sure how close to the Quantocks and what they are like. I am just interested in basic tent camping.
thanks.
