Frame Sizing

Looking for anyone with any knowledge of Trek frame sizing.
I'm about to upgrade from a Trek 2000 bike with a 54cm frame. I'm looking at the Madone 5.2 pro After trolling the web, the info seems to be that iI should be looking at a 56cm or 58cm frame.
Does this sound about right?
I'm 5'11". Inside leg 32". 13st 9lbs ( going down to 13st 3lbs.)
Confusingly I found a piece about Lance Armstrong (no comparisons). Apparently he's 5'10" but rides a 58cm frame!
Any help is wlcomed

Top tube length is most important. If you are happy with your current one measure it manually and then compare with this (effective top tube and how to measure it is fig c):
http://www.trekbikes.com/uk/en/bikes/road/madone/5_series/fit_and_geometry/
^ has 3 fit sizes not sure which you were going to buy.
If you are not sure about your current bike measure yourself and put details in here:
http://www.competitivecyclist.com/za/CCY?PAGE=FIT_CALCULATOR&SITE.CODE=&gender=M&units=in
I'd guess you either want another 54 or more likely a 56.
There is of course no substitute for going to your LBS and taking one for a ride0
