Garfagnana/Appian Alps

Going to stay near Castelnuovo de Garfagnana north of Lucca next year, and there looks to be some nice wiggly roads around. Anyone done any cycling in this area and can recommend any good lumpy routes of 40-60 miles or so?

    Oh - another thought - anyone have any ideas on where i can hire a decent bike? I've found a place in Lucca but would ideally like somewhere nearer Castelnuovo.
