Evening all,

For anyone that is considering the newly launched Lumicycle LED4 I would really recommend them. Now I am going to compare them to a 20w halogen set I have, not against another LED like the MAXX-D or HID lights, but thought I would spend 5 mins giving my initial impression to help anyone that might of been in the same boat as me, wondering, is it really spending and upgrading your lights!

Recieved my new set today , twin LED4 with a 5.2AH high capacity Lithion battery, charged them up and took them out for a ride, only a quick ride but enough to notice the difference.

Strapped on both the LED4s and my 20w halogen light to the handlebar and went out for a quick ride.

Intiially rode with the 20w halogen, then turned on the LED4 spot, only to high settign not boost. The difference was aparent imedietly, better penetration, more even light and better focus.

Looped round a quick 1 mi loop round a local village , one with the 20w, once with the LED4, and difference was astounding.

Turned on the spot for the last loop, now I was very skeptical off having a flood for the rode, but it really made a difference espeically with the awful roads we have locally! Had the penetration of the spot and just lit up the back roads and made me feel a lot more confident!

Came acorss a couple of cars which all gave me a wide passing area, which I was very happy about as you can iamge which typically I wouldn't get.

Build quality is great, advice on the phone or via email from Lumicycle was top notch!

Only problem I had was a rear light not working (ordered the rear light addon which is pretty bright!) but once that is sorted I will put up a quick note about that, have some 1/2watt smart lights, and the cataye LD1100 to compare it to, shame I don't have a dinotte as well

Also getting a glow ring (replaces the metal cap on one of the lamps) that increases the riders visiblie to the sides, am thinking this could be a very good upgrade and will note down what its like

Hope this helps anyone pondering on purchasing!

Cheers
