well, got up this morning ready to try my first real commute to work. around 15 miles in each direction from leeds to halifax. Have done it a couple of times but want to make it a bit more permanent. Anyways i set of, got about 5 miles into it and thought bugger! ive forgotten my weetabix to have when i finally get there, ah its ok i thought i have my wallet! NO I BLOODY WELL DON'T!!! So i turns around and goes home, gets a shower and changed and thought well its too late to set of on the bike so will have to drive in, gets to work and left my office keys at home!!! AAAAAAARRRRRGGGGGHHHH!!!!! Do you ever get that feeling that lifes just out to get you sometimes. So i have just put it down to a training day for today. Anyone else having one of those day today?

Start again tomorrow.
(or more helpfully - get everything sorted the night before.. lay it all out or pack it in your bag / pannier / whatever. This way you minimise the amount of thought needed in the morning)Chunky Cyclists need your love too! :-)

Exactly what I have to do, I am never really with it in the mornings and it was the only way of not forgetting anything...0 -
I have a small backpack, and regardless of the mode of transport always use it, pack it the night before, that way the routine doesn't vary too much.
Thinking at 6am is not my strong point0 -
