Just had my road bike out in the past few days; 17 years old and in need of an upgrade but it's not economically viable so it is time for a new bike. I'm thinking of getting one of the new fangled carbon ones - I'm a heavier than average chap so is there a weight limit on frames?

Not usually, wheels are more of a problem. Check with the manufacturer if your worried.

How big is heavier than average? Do you mean average pro cyclist? If so then you're not alone.
