advice for new bike please

hey: i am looking for some advice. i have an older colnago C50 with the hp stays and am looking to get a bike with a little more comfort and more stable (less twitchy). i ride in northern california in the rolling hills. ive considered cervelo sl, calfee, derosa idol, wilier izoard, cannondale and some pinnarello. i rode a new c50 and it is too similar to what i have now.
locally it is very difficult to try to test ride all these bikes. also the LBS of course recommends what brands they have. the published test rides (F. andreiu tested a derosa idol and loved it in bikeradar) dont often compare various brands bikes. so if all these bikes were the same price, what would you recommend given what i am looking for it to do? thanks,
