Best Bar Tape

Hi there,been out of the bike game for 6 years. looking for Decent Gel bar tape . Cork Tape is not to my liking as its too thin. noticed some of the Pro's bikes look as if they have 2 sets on.

    Have a look at Specialized and Fizik, you can have nice spongy tape or gel pads which fit under the tape depending on how much padding you want. Another cheaper alternative is to fit some old tape under the new so you get a bit more thickness :D

    I have tried many, including specialized and the best I have found is the Fizik Microtex stuff (the wipe clean one, not the brushed one). Actually, the best was Stella Azzura Eleganza but this wasn't anywhere as easy to keep clean as the Fizik...
