Trek Seatpost diameter

Hi - I have just got a trek 7.2fx hybrid and I am keen to replace the slightly wobbly suspension seatpost that came as standard.

Does anyone know the diameter of the replacement I need or should I go out and dig it out of the shed and find out rather than sitting on my large backside behind this pc???!!! lol! ( in fairness my measuring skills are poop so it might still be worht someone telling me!)
